the 4 Concerts on 28th April

DYCE Call for Scores has come to its end.
We got 143 valid applications from all over Europe. Thanks to all composers for participating!
You can find the names of the 12 selected composers and scores here.

The 12 selected compositions will be performed in four concerts on the 28th of April. On that day, the four DYCE ensembles will perform the three winning pieces belonging to their European area.
The four concerts will take place on the same day, at different times in the four partner cities, with a streaming broadcast from each concert hall to the other three.
This way, audiences in Milan, Oslo, Seville and Tallinn will be able to listen to all 12 pieces: 3 live and 9 in streaming.

This is a very important event for DYCE and for our audiences. We have invited listeners to follow a path towards a more conscious form of listening, from January to April (www.dyce-project.eu/activities): being supported in understanding and appraising new music will help the audience evaluate the 12 scores, in order to vote for the 4 best among them.
The audiences and the musicians of the four ensembles will choose the four composers that will be commissioned to compose one new piece each, to be performed in April 2020.

This is the schedule of the concerts (UTC/GMT+2):

15:00 to 15:45 concert in Tallinn
15:45 to 16:15 coffee break
16:15 to 17:00 concert in Oslo
17:00 to 17:30 coffee break
17:30 to 18:15 concert in Milan
18:15 to 19:30 long break and aperitiv
19:30 to 20:15 concert in Sevilla

Attention, please! Our Estonian friends belong to the UTC/GMT+3 timezone.
This is their day's schedule in Tallinn:

16:00 to 16:45 concert in Tallinn
16:45 to 17:15 coffee break
17:15 to 18:00 concert in Oslo
18:00 to 18:30 coffee break
18:30 to 19:15 concert in Milan
19:15 to 20:30 long break and aperitiv
20:30 to 21:15 concert in Sevilla

It will be a long day! But a pleasant one. An opportunity to gather and listen in a new way, to share moments of confrontation and of livelihood.
